While mechatronic companies are not exactly known for publishing magazines, Logicdata is a bit different when it comes to that. Instead of putting out dull advertisement that people would throw away only moments after they received it, Logicdata decided to create a magazine for trade fairs that is well worth the read. The clear goal was to create a look and feel that would do justice to the quality content put together by editor and copywriter Thomas George. An important aspect in developing the design concept was to wink at Logicdata's corporate design while not fully tapping into it - thereby creating something that could stand on it's own. Another challenge was to incorporate an english version as well as the german one. Instead of making a compromise and trying to add both languages at once - an attempt that we figured failed more often than not - we decided to create a flip cover with the german version on one side and the english version at the other side of the magazine.

The final result is a high quality publication with illustrations in different styles and many little details to be discovered. Each  feature article has it's own unique style while at the same time the overall clean and well-structured layout binds the magazine together and leads the reader through the pages.
